Snohomish County Public Utility District provides water and power utility services to over 21,000 customers in the northeast section of Snohomish County. The P.U.D. also rents out its facilities to community partners, such as StoryBook Theater. PNTA was engaged to replace the drapery in the auditorium of their training center, which had both exceeded their fire retardancy lifespan and were starting to look ragged.

Our solution? PNTA’s proposed drapery solution replaced the existing fire retardant (FR) cotton curtains with inherently FR synthetic grand drape, valance, two travelers, legs and borders. House curtains were also provided on the second level of the theater, masking the orchestra area. PNTA serviced the existing track system and reused it for the new drapes, simplifying the install. The installation of the new drapes was completed on a compressed schedule to minimize impact to the client, who required the continued use of the auditorium throughout the installation. This project was completed on time and on budget.
